The Graduate Initiative

Learn, Engage, and Connect

The Graduate Initiative for Inclusion and Engagement is a series of events and workshops designed to help graduate and professional school students feel connected, supported and successful at Columbia. The initiative's programming reflects our commitment to supporting vibrant and inclusive cross-school communities.

We know that students arrive here with different lived experiences and challenges—and many have overcome barriers to get to this point. This initiative is designed to help you build community, grow your network, and thrive both personally and academically. All students are welcome to participate.

Through programs like Grad Hangouts, Community Connections, Faculty Roundtables, and Success Workshops, you’ll have opportunities to meet other students, connect with faculty, and gain tools to support your success.

Whether you're looking to make friends, meet potential mentors, or find resources to help you along the way, this initiative is here for you.
