Get Your Flu Shot, #KeeptheCompact, Well-Being Resources

October 09, 2020

Dear Students,

Your continued commitment to the Compact is helping to keep our community and neighbors safe and healthy. Continue to stay diligent, especially now that infection rates are going up in New York and other parts of the country. Please use these tips for socializing safely and check out this vlog from students Maya Castronovo and Naomi Rubin on how they’ve kept themselves entertained while also observing public health guidelines.

One important way to keep yourself and our community healthy is to get your flu shot. It is more important than ever. All students on campus or coming to campus are required to receive a flu vaccine by October 30, 2020, or prior to arriving on campus. Anyone with a Columbia ID can receive a free flu vaccine through Columbia Health. I got mine a few weeks ago and it was quick and easy.

As the pandemic continues, you may be feeling the impact in various ways. Please be sure to reach out for support whenever you need it:

As a reminder, if you have any concerns about individuals in the community following the Compact and potentially putting others at risk, use these stepping-in tips or speak with a staff or faculty member for support. You can also use the "report an incident” link at the top of University Life’s website as needed.

Please consider adding your voice to our student voices campaign and share your story by filling out this form. If you have any tips, questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to write to [email protected].

Take care,
