Liudmila Matsyura: Spanish Organ Music

International concert organist, of Russian origin and Spanish nationality, Liudmila Matsyura has lived in Spain since 2002. She completed her higher education at the M. I. Glinka Conservatory (Nijny Novgorod, Russia) where she obtained the distinguished diplomas of organist and pianist with the prestigious Russian professor G. I. Kozlova. From 1986 to 2003, she was organ soloist of the Philharmonic in Irkutsk (Russia), where she developed a great organ solo activity. At the same time, she worked as a higher grade piano professor at the Conservatory and at the State Academy of Music in Irkutsk.

Matsyura developed high concert activity in Russia and Europe, performing in major international organ festivals in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Norway, Scotland, Ireland, Poland, Belgium, and Spain. She has performed in major European cathedrals including Notre-Dame de Paris, Dom zu Salzburg (Austria), Basilica St. Bonifaz in Munich, Cathedrals of Paderborn and Konstanz (Germany), St. Gile’s Cathedral, Edinburgh (Scotland), Domkirke of Stavanger Cathedral (Norway), Moscow (Russia), Basilica St. Florian (Austria), Cathedral of Porto (Portugal), Spanish Cathedrals as in Palma de Mallorca, Salamanca, Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), and many basilicas and churches. Since 2006, this prominent international organist has been the titular organist of the Cathedral-Magistral of Alcalá de Henares in Madrid. She is the artistic director of the International Organ Festival “Cathedral of Alcalá” and the Organ Cycle in the Cathedral of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid).
