International Roundtable with Columbia Faculty

We invite you to join us for the International Roundtable with Columbia Faculty on Friday, March 25 at 11:00 am. This event is part of the Graduate Initiative for Inclusion and Engagement, which focuses on creating networks among graduate and professional school students from historically marginalized communities. This event is co-sponsored by the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement and School of International and Public Affairs.

At this event, faculty will share their experiences as international scholars acclimating to the culture of academia in the U.S. Although this event was developed with graduate students in mind, all are welcome. Registration is required, please RSVP below. 

Food and refreshments will be provided. Please bring your CUID and proof of vaccination due to the Key to NYC program.

The roundtable will be moderated by Maria Victoria Murillo, Director of the Institute of Latin American Studies, and Professor of Political Science & International Affairs. Panelists include:

  • Elham Azizi, Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering & Herbert and Florence Irving Assistant Professor of Cancer Data Research 
  • Jay Sethuraman, Professor of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research; Chair, Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research
  • Yiping W. Han, Professor of Microbial Sciences in Dental Medicine and Microbiology & Immunology
