University Life Events Council

The University Life Events Council is a group of students from each school who plan activities that connect students across all Columbia schools.

The deadline to sign-up for any open School Liaison positions is September 26th, 2019. Sign up now!

You can also sign up to be a committee member anytime throughout the year.

Sexual Respect Ambassadors

Sexual Respect Ambassadors help spread the word, engage with other student leaders and contribute ideas to the Sexual Respect and Community Citizenship Initiative (SRI)!

The Graduate Initiative for Inclusion and Engagement

Join the Graduate Initiative Advisory Board to meet and collaborate with graduate students from all Columbia schools, and participate in creating innovative programming and supportive spaces.

Task Force on Inclusion and Belonging

The Task Force on Inclusion and Belonging works to identify issues and develop responsive strategies that address students’ experiences both in and outside of the classroom related to diversity, inclusion and a sense of belonging on campus.

Wellness Days Ambassadors 

Wellness Days Ambassadors are student leaders who help promote, plan and staff events, and collaborate with other student leaders to engage in health and well-being dialogue. Wellness Days offer students a series of events and workshops focused on supporting the mental health and well-being of the Columbia Community.

Columbia Welcome Ambassadors 

Welcome students to the new academic year, plan events, and help shape community at Columbia. Columbia Welcome cultivates a sense of belonging and an inclusive community for new and returning students at the start of the academic year. Events and workshops are open to all students.

Recruitment for Columbia Welcome Ambassadors will resume in Spring 2020.

Interschool Governing Board and Student Organization Advising

The Office of University Life advises the Interschool Governing Board and student organizations recognized by the board. We also provide resources and training for graduate student organizations, including mini grants, best practices for event planning, and leadership development workshops.
