We hope your summer is off to a great start. Here are some ways to stay engaged with the Columbia community and, if you’re in town, ways to enjoy the season around the city.

University Life Events & Opportunities

  • Apply to the University Life Events Council. Are you full of ideas for events and love bringing people together? Apply to the University Life Events Council and help strengthen Columbia traditions like Speed Friending, Low-Lapalooza: Silent Disco, and Passport to Columbia.   • The Food Pantry at Columbia: Student Leadership Board Openings. The Food Pantry serves all currently registered students across all Columbia schools, colleges, and affiliates.   • Lenfest Kids: Manhattanville Community Day, Charlie Chaplin’s ‘The Kid’ (In-Person). Catch a screening of Chaplin’s first full-length feature, a heartfelt masterpiece about a kind wanderer who takes in an orphaned child. Chaplin directed, produced, starred in the film, and composed its score. Ben Model returns to provide live musical accompaniment for this silent classic.   • Manhattanville Community Day Summer 2025 (In-Person). Stop by the Manhattanville campus for a free, fun-filled celebration of community. Immerse yourself in the arts through youth programming, indulge in Uptown cuisine with local vendors, have fun with science activities, and enjoy a day with neighbors.   • The CUIMC LGBTQ+ Lecture Series (In-Person). Bringing together voices from across disciplines, this lecture series spotlights the urgent health disparities faced by the LGBTQ+ community. Featured speaker Dr. Suzanne Goldberg, Herbert and Doris Wechsler Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Sexuality and Gender Law Clinic at Columbia Law School, offers insights at the intersection of law, policy, and health equity.
