Our Spaces
Earl Hall
Designed by McKim, Mead, and White, Earl Hall is a three-story building constructed with red brick with a limestone portico, granite stairs, and a copper dome and lantern. The front entrance to the building is on the second floor and is raised above campus level by a long flight of twenty-two granite stairs with triple stepped wing walls of granite.
Earl Hall, was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2018 for its significant role in social history in serving as a venue for meetings and dances of the Columbia Student Homophile League, the oldest LGBTQ student organization in the United States.
St. Paul's Chapel
One of the finest architectural spaces on campus, this non-denominational chapel is a cherished space and historical landmark ideal for weddings, memorial services, concerts, and other private events of all sizes. Events at St. Paul’s may be traditional, secular, interfaith, same-sex, non-religious, civil, or spiritual. St. Paul’s Chapel accommodates traditions as diverse as the University itself.
