Welcome back! Or, if you're just joining the Columbia community, welcome! We hope to see you at some of our Welcome Week events, which begin today and run through next Friday, January 31. This series of free, fun events is a chance to build a strong foundation this semester.
Welcome Week
All Welcome Week events are free and open to all students across all schools and campuses. Just bring your CUID!
- Letter to Myself Workshop (In-Person). Join us for a moment of communal reflection, where you can write a letter to your future self. This event aims to create lasting memories and provide a keepsake to remember your life as a student. Wednesday, January 22, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Register here.
- Coloring & Chamomile (In-Person). Warm up, relax, and connect with others over a cup of tea, tasty treats, and a variety of coloring pages. Thursday, January 23, 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. Register here.

- Office Hours with the Center for Student Success & Intervention (CSSI) (In-Person) Get to know CSSI's Case Management and Student Support team. Learn about services and support available to you, and ask questions to troubleshoot basic needs, resource referrals, and goal setting for the Spring semester. - Vision Board Party: Digital Edition (In-Person). Kickstart your year by mapping out your 2025 goals with a digital vision board. Bring your laptops and flex your Canva and graphic design skills. Tuesday, January 28, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Register here.
- Navigating Disability Disclosure Conversations (Virtual). In partnership with Disability Services, this workshop will help you gain useful information on how to navigate disclosing disabilities and what to know about disability policies in the classroom and, eventually, the workplace. - Multi-Faith Fellowship (In-Person). The Multi-Faith Fellowship provides the rare opportunity for genuine learning and community across faith traditions. - Campus Connect with CSSI (In-Person). Center for Student Success and Intervention (CSSI) is part of University Life and serves students from across all 17 schools. - Qigong Workshop (In-Person). Qigong is an embodied art that manifests Daoist principles in moving meditation. Join Religious Life and instructor Sally Chang who will teach a gentle, fun, and energizing set of movements. Thursday, January 30, 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. Register here.

- Startup Works at Columbia Business School Information Sessions. Columbia Business School and Justice Through Code invite you to learn more about their Startup Works workshop series, which aims to support inclusive startup teams. - Apply for the Internship in Building Community. The School of Professional Studies (SPS) is accepting applications for the Internship in Building Community, which hiring over 100 Program & Residential Life Assistants who will coordinate community-building events and workshops, supervise students in residence halls and on field trips, and support logistics for Columbia’s Summer Pre-College Programs. Applications are due on Wednesday, January 29 by 11:59 p.m.
- A Fireside Chat with Anthony Fauci, M.D. (Virtual). The School of Professional Studies Bioethics program is hosting Dr. Fauci for a conversation about our nation’s past, present, and future responses to pandemics and other public health crises.
