- Financial Resource Tutorial for International Students (In-Person). Join Student Financial Services, University Life, and the International Students and Scholars Office to ask questions and review the budgeting and finance resources available to you as a Columbia student. Please bring your own laptop/tablet. Drop by 1:00 - 2:30 PM on Thursday, October 12. Register here.
- Citizen-Leaders: A Conversation with the Obama Foundation Scholars (In-Person). Join Columbia’s Obama Foundation Scholars for a discussion on civic engagement and the power to effect change in our communities. Lunch will be provided – first come, first served. - Social Justice Mini-Grant Program. Apply for the Social Justice Mini-Grant Program and share your innovative ideas to address social injustices, including efforts to bring awareness to racial, economic, accessibility, and educational inequities. Upcoming Community Citizenship Initiative Events
The following events fulfill one of the requirements for the Community Citizenship Initiative (CCI).
- Responding to Disclosures (Virtual). Learn how to respond if a peer or loved one discloses that they've experienced harm. This workshop is hosted by Sexual Violence Response (SVR). This event fulfills the Sexual Respect component. TONIGHT, October 10, 5:30 - 7:00 PM. Register here
- Being Latine at Columbia (In-Person). Join us for a conversation on Latine identity and how it affects the work of four panelists from different disciplines across the University. Sponsored by the Institute of Latin American Studies, the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement, and University Life. This event fulfills the Inclusion & Belonging component. - Film Screening: My Name Is Andrea (In-Person). Watch My Name Is Andrea, a documentary about feminist icon Andrea Dworkin. - Upcoming Peace & Presence Workshops (Virtual). Columbia Health Sexual Violence Response (SVR) is hosting a series of holistic wellness workshops for the entire Columbia community.
