Looking to make friends and learn about University resources? This series of free, fun events is a chance to build your foundation for the semester ahead and beyond. Welcome Week is open to all Columbia students from all schools and campuses – whether you are a new or returning student, an undergraduate or graduate student. We will share more information about Welcome Week in our upcoming newsletters!
Upcoming Events
All events below are in Eastern Time, free of charge, and open to all students unless otherwise noted.
- Mock Seminar: Reading NYC at War (In-Person). Through literature and discussion, explore how various wars have impacted New York. This event is part of a series hosted by the Center for Veteran Transition and Integration. Refreshments will be served. Wednesday, August 7, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Register here.
- Intro to Entrepreneurship at Columbia University (Virtual). Learn about the student groups, competitions, course offerings, and more that are available to all students through Columbia Entrepreneurship. Tuesday, August 13, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Register here.
- Wallach Kids: Kite Making (In-Person). Join Columbia community members and neighbors at The Forum to create your own kite. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Wednesday, August 14, 2 - 4 p.m. Register here.
- Volunteer on Broadway (In-Person). This summer, Community Impact and Broadway Community invite you to participate in a culinary service opportunity. You can work alongside Community Lunch's head chef to prepare meals for neighbors in the Morningside Heights community, serve food, and/or support its food pantry operations. Various dates and times.
