Student Admin Worker, First Year Experience
Compensation: $23/hr
Working closely with University Life’s First Year Experience Coordinator and other members of the Student Life team, the Graduate Assistant (GA) will work on several key projects including the University-wide programs and requirements, Pre-Orientation and the Community Citizenship Initiative (and other duties as assigned).
- Communication - Assist with managing student inquiries through our communication channels (i.e. group emails, Canvas inbox, phone calls).
- Data Management - Assist with basic data management such as student list management, creating simple data reports, cleaning up data from surveys, etc.
- Student Events - Staff and help plan University Life events focused on Inclusion & Belonging and Sexual Respect for the Community Citizenship Initiative (CCI); and support full-time staff at signature events such as Awakening Our Democracy and Low Lounge.
- Orientation and Welcome Week - Support the First Year Experience Coordinator at school orientations and resource fairs. Additional opportunities to plan your own events or support other CCI and Welcome Week programming will be available as capacity permits.
- Marketing & Media - Create promotional flyers, event descriptions, and work closely with the University Life Communications team on all marketing materials.
Graduate Assistant for Student Life
Compensation: $23/hr
Working closely with University Life’s Student Life team and other members of the University Life office, the Graduate Assistant will work on several key projects (and other duties as assigned). The office hires a number of graduate students and will assign focus areas of either student activities or inclusion and belonging based on skills and interests:

Student Events - Staff and plan major events hosted by University Life such as Awakening Our Democracy, signature events, and support full-time staff on University Life Events Council advisement and programming.

Inclusion & Belonging - Assist in programming and initiatives that focus on themes of inclusion and belonging such as the Campus Conversations, The Graduate Initiative, the Social Justice Mini-Grant Program, Success Workshops and various committees.

Well-Being / Sexual Respect Programming - Support and manage Wellbeing Days and Study Breaks; support programs under the Sexual Respect and Community Citizenship Initiative.

University Life Ambassador Program - Support full-time staff with training, engaging, and managing University Life Ambassadors.

Club/Student Advising - Serve as direct advisor for various identity, cultural and religious student groups housed under the Inter-School Governing Board (IGB).

Orientation and Welcome Home Columbia - Support in school orientations and resource fairs, and plan and support other Welcome Home Columbia programming.

Marketing & Media - Create promotional flyers, and event descriptions, and work closely with the communications team within the office.
Graduate Assistant for Inclusion and Belonging
Compensation: $23/hr
Reporting to the Program Manager for Inclusion and Belonging Initiatives, the Graduate Assistant (GA) will support the wide-ranging inclusion and belonging efforts within University Life:
- Inclusion & Belonging - Assist in programming and initiatives that focus on themes of inclusion and belonging such as the Campus Conversations, The Graduate Initiative, the Social Justice Mini-Grant Program, Success Workshops and various committees.
- Student Events - Staff and help plan University Life events focused on Inclusion & Belonging; and support full-time staff at signature events such as Awakening Our Democracy and Low Lounge.
- Data Management - Assist with basic data management such as student list management, creating simple data reports, cleaning up data from surveys, etc.

Graduate Assistant for Student Organization Advisement
Compensation: $23/hr
Working closely with University Life’s Student Life team and other members of the University Life office, the Graduate Assistant focused on student advising will work on several key projects, but will primarily focus on:

Club/Student Advising - Serve as direct advisor for six to fourteen identity, cultural, and religious student groups housed under the Inter-School Governing Board (IGB).

Club Policy and Support - Conduct club policy research, form creation, respond to email inquiries about IGB, and other administrative duties.
