Dear Students, 

We hope you’ll take a break and join us Sunday, December 11 for Low Lounge: A Winter Workshop, happening from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The Low Library Rotunda will be transformed into the ultimate study break, featuring student performances, a hot cocoa, tea and coffee station, an ice cream cart, snacks, giveaways, raffles, and craft & activity tables. This event is free and open to all students, from all schools and campuses. Come see this winter wonderland, brought to you by the University Life Events Council.

  • Financial Well-being: Winter Break Budgeting and Beyond (Virtual). Learn how to approach the budgeting process for winter break, your return to campus, and beyond. This workshop hosted by University Life and Student Financial Services will introduce students to University tools and resources that improve financial well-being and enable a greater sense of agency in the future.   • Breathing Space (In-Person). Need a quiet moment or someone to talk to? Religious Life invites you to an open space where you can talk to a peer counselor, drink some tea, or just relax. Drop by December 13-15 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM. Learn more.
  • Study Days (In-Person). During finals season, Religious Life will open the Earl Hall Auditorium and provide tea and snacks for this quiet study space. Tuesday, December 13 - Thursday, December 22. Times vary. Learn more.
  • Yoga Class (In-Person). Take a break and relax with yoga in Earl Hall, hosted by Religious Life every Thursday. Please bring your own mat and arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign in and set up. Thursday, December 8, 7:00 - 8:00 PM. Learn more.

  • Film Screening: Bad Roads (In-Person). Join the Harriman Institute for a screening of Bad Roads, which weaves together four stories set in the conflict zone of Ukraine before the recent full-scale military invasion. Tuesday, December 6, 6:30 - 9:00 PM. Register here.

  • December Narrative Medicine Rounds with Marc Bamuthi Joseph (Virtual).   • Moses Hadas and Historical Black Colleges and Universities (Hybrid) This presentation by Rachel Hadas, Roosevelt Montás, and Dan-el Padilla Peralta will explore Moses Hadas’ historic “Great Ideas of Antiquity” telelectures, delivered in the summer of 1963 to students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities in Mississippi and Louisiana.   • Situational Awareness Training (Virtual). Public Safety presents a workshop on Situational Awareness: being aware of where you are and what is happening around you.
