Your Report on the Columbia Student Well-Being Survey

October 21, 2021

Dear Students,

We are pleased to share the Report on the 2020 Columbia Student Well-Being Survey, with our thanks again to the 9,000+ students who contributed to it and to the student ambassadors and leaders who helped spread the word.

In the report you will find important information about Columbia students’ experiences, including perceptions of connection and belonging within the community, mental health and well-being, as well as sexual respect and gender-based misconduct.

We know that a lot has happened since the closing of this survey in March 2020, but we hope you find the information useful in thinking about your own well-being and that of your friends and classmates. This report has also been shared with faculty and staff and throughout the University.

The analysis and data from this report help inform the University’s ongoing planning and development of programs, initiatives and other resources for the current academic year.

If you are interested in learning about how the University is using the Report’s findings to enhance the student experience, be sure to RSVP and join next week’s Student Forum: The 2020 Columbia Student Well-Being Report on Thursday, October 28, from 12:00-1:00 PM ET.

We will be in touch as we plan for the next Survey. In the meantime, visit the University Life website for much more, including events and information to support you this term and beyond, including health and well-being resources through Columbia Health and CUIMC Student Health on Haven.

As always, we welcome your thoughts and questions at [email protected], and look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
