All events listed below are in Eastern Time (ET), free, and open to all students across all schools and campuses.
- Office Hours with CSSI Case Management and Student Support (In-Person). Do you have questions about services on campus or need help identifying resources in the community? Stop by for office hours to chat one-on-one with a member of CSSI’s Case Management and Student Support team, who are knowledgeable and dedicated to helping all students, regardless of school, to get connected to the resources they need to succeed. - Yoga Class (In-Person). Take a break and relax with yoga in Earl Hall hosted by Religious Life. Please bring your own mat and arrive 10 minutes early to sign in and set up! Thursday, April 3, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Learn more.
- Dance Fitness Series: Zumba (In-Person). Start your morning with high energy in this Zumba Session with University Life and Columbia PEREC. - The King Lear Project (In-Person). The Theater of War Productions, the Center for the Core Curriculum, Religious Life, and the Undergraduate Community Initiative presents the King Lear Project, which includes streamlined readings of scenes from Shakespeare’s King Lear to engage intergenerational audiences in powerful, guided discussions about family dynamics, the responsibilities of leadership, and the challenges of caring for loved ones and friends. - The Tax Timeline: What to Do Before, During & After Filing (Virtual). Tax season is here! In this informative webinar, we’ll break down everything you need to know about filing taxes, maximizing your return, and making smart choices with your refund. - Housing in NYC: On- and Off-Campus Resources (Virtual). Join the CSSI Case Management and Student Support team for a workshop on navigating housing in New York City. Topics will include an overview of the various housing offices on campus, tenant rights, NYC Housing Connect, NYC housing benefits, short-term housing options, emergency housing resources, and much more. - Dance Fitness Series: Bollywood Dance (In-Person). Dance the afternoon away with this electrifying Bollywood dance workshop with Anja Dance Company! Expect high energy, fun beats, and a place to celebrate movement, culture, and community. Monday, April 7, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Register Here.
- Stress Tolerance & Academic Integrity (Virtual). Review methods for managing academic stress and preventing academic misconduct alongside the CSSI Case Management and Student Support team and Student Conduct. - The Food Pantry at Columbia Student Leadership Board Openings. The Food Pantry serves all currently registered students across all of Columbia’s schools, colleges, and affiliates. - Futures in Social Justice: A Discussion on Justice-Oriented Careers (In-Person). The Eric H. Holder Jr. Initiative for Civil and Political Rights Student Advisory Board hosts the second installment of “The Politics We Imagine” Conversation Series. Leah Aden CC'01, Perry Grossman, and Jibreel Jalloh will give a panel discussion on career paths for students interested in social justice, with a networking reception to follow. - Safe Havens for Hate: The Challenge of Moderating Online Extremism (In-Person). Listen to author Tamar Mitts, Assistant Professor, School of International and Public Affairs Faculty Member, and Erica Lonergan, Assistant Professor of International and Public Affairs, discuss Mitts’ book Safe Havens for Hate, and how content moderation shapes the tactics of harmful content producers on a wide range of social media platforms.
