Engage in new conversations and set the tone for the Spring semester with New Year Affirmations & Conversations, an event from The Graduate Initiative!
This relaxed gathering invites graduate students to create personalized cards and write notes of encouragement to themselves or a friend regarding aspirations for the new year and upcoming semester. While using guided prompts and participating in icebreaker activities, you’ll be able to engage in meaningful dialogue, meet new people, and build community.
What you can expect:
- A low-pressure setting designed for support and connection
- Guided prompts for reflection and goal-setting
- Craft and writing supplies provided
Take time to reflect on your aspirations, and join fellow graduate students for the start of the new semester!
This event is part of The Graduate Initiative for Inclusion and Engagement and was designed with the needs of students from backgrounds historically facing barriers to higher education in mind, including BIPOC and first-generation students. All students are welcome.
The event is part of Welcome Week, which is a series of events that are free and open to all students.
