Make One, Take One: A Tiny Gift Exchange

January 30, 2026
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
America/New_York
Kent Hall, 1140 Amsterdam Ave., New York, NY 10027 201

Brighten someone’s day with a handmade trinket! Join The Graduate Initiative for a cozy, creative space to fashion small, handmade items to gift another.

Make a little something, take a little something. You’ll have the opportunity to make bracelets, origami pieces, stickers, or buttons, and opt to leave it behind as a gift for another student. You’re also welcome to take a surprise creation left by someone else.

What you can expect:

  • All craft supplies provided
  • Light snacks and refreshments to enjoy
  • Engaging conversation and opportunities to meet new people

This community-building activity is an opportunity to extend kindness, practice empathy, and find connection in the little things. See you there!

This event is part of The Graduate Initiative for Inclusion and Engagement and was designed with the needs of students from backgrounds historically facing barriers to higher education in mind, including BIPOC and first-generation students. All students are welcome.

The event is part of Welcome Week, which is a series of events that are free and open to all students.

Registration needed, CUID required.
