Begin your fall semester with Grad Networking: Lattes & Creative Connections at Dear Mama Cafe, an opportunity to meet graduate students from across Columbia whose work is shaped by creativity, innovation, and new ways of thinking.
Connect with students from different schools and disciplines, share what inspires your work, and discover unexpected connections between fields. Through guided conversations, explore how ideas, approaches, and perspectives from one discipline might spark new possibilities in another, all while enjoying a latte or discovering a new go-to cafe order.
Whether you’re joining campus for the first time or returning, this low-pressure gathering is a chance to step outside your usual circles, exchange ideas, and build connections that can inspire your academic, professional, and creative work.
This event is part of Welcome Week, which is a series of events designed to welcome new and returning students to campus that are free and open to all students.
The Graduate Initiative for Inclusion and Engagement supports graduate and professional students through programs designed to reflect a wide range of lived experiences and perspectives. Designed with the needs of students who may have overcome barriers to higher education in mind, the initiative creates spaces for connection, learning, and growth. All students are welcome.
Registration is required, but walk-ins will be admitted as space allows. CUID holders only.
