Dive into art history with an event highlighting the life and work of renowned Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. This event invites you to explore the intersection between art, identity, culture, and lived experience, all while creating a self-portrait.

What you can look forward to:

  • A short trivia-style presentation about Frida Kahlo’s life and legacy
  • An interactive look at Kahlo’s self-portraits from different perspectives
  • Guided prompts to help you brainstorm angles, ideas, and themes
  • All creative materials provided to help you create your own artwork
  • Light refreshments: Mexican pastries, tea, and hot cocoa

We’ll wrap up with an optional gallery walk, where you can showcase your portrait and enjoy the creativity of other students.

No artistic experience is needed! Come as you are, ready to reflect, create, and share.
