Join us for an open conversation about ambition, burnout, and the pressure to always be doing more. At Columbia, a lot of us are driven and care deeply about what we are working toward, but that can come with real costs to our energy and well-being.
What does it actually look like to go after big goals without exhausting yourself? When do you realize you are doing too much, and what helps you step back? How do you balance discipline with rest?
This is a space to reflect, be honest, and hear how others are navigating similar challenges. We will share our own experiences, talk through what burnout can look like in our day to day lives, and think together about what a more sustainable kind of ambition might look like.
Food will be provided to participants.
This program is part of University Life's Campus Conversations program which is a designed to bring students together across differences through dialogue led by their peers. These conversations are selected and facilitated by graduate students across Columbia's graduate and professional schools. All students are welcome to attend.
Registration is required, but walk-ins will be admitted as space allows. CUID holders only.
