Dear Students,
I hope that you have been able to enjoy some of the recent in-person events around campus. As the University’s COVID-19 restrictions ease, we are experiencing another transition as we continually adjust to the pandemic. I encourage you to continue to reach out to your networks and campus resources if you need additional support. I look forward to connecting with more of you at events and building our communities as we move forward this semester.
What Are You Grateful for Today?
For me, having a daily gratitude practice helps me to regain perspective and stay connected to my values.
Taking a few minutes of your day to reflect on the things you’re appreciative of can help you shift your focus from what’s going wrong to what’s going well. This practice can be as simple as writing down three things that you’re grateful for in a notebook or your favorite note-taking app. There are also free apps such as Stoic and Gratitude, which provide you with prompts and structure as you integrate this practice into your routine.
