A Return to Normalcy on Campus, and Stay Hydrated All Day

February 10, 2022

Dear Students,

I want to begin today’s message with gratitude for your resilience, mutual concern, and endurance over these past two years. Though COVID-19 continues to be part of our lives, there is reason to be optimistic that we are moving out of the emergency phase of this pandemic and into one of relative normalcy.

In-person instruction and social gatherings have resumed. Commencement will take place on May 18th in person. As of Monday, eating and drinking together indoors will resume. There is real reason to feel hopeful about the remainder of this semester. Columbia’s campuses are some of the safest places to be, thanks to our collective efforts.

Please remember that masking remains in place.

Wellness Tip - Start Your Day With a Glass of Water

Staying hydrated throughout the day is key to feeling your best. Having a glass of water first thing in the morning can build a healthy habit and help maintain hydration levels all day!

Booster Documentation Deadline Reminder

Though the deadline to upload your COVID-19 booster documentation has been extended to February 28 for most students (February 21 for clinical students), please do so as soon as possible to avoid running into issues. If you are not currently eligible for the booster, please upload your documentation within 31 days of becoming eligible. Questions about your booster? Find FAQs here!
