- Research Ethics & Compliance — Film Discussion: Miss Evers’ Boys. This event from Columbia Research will feature Harriet Washington and Robert Fullilove in an interactive discussion, moderated by Hilda Hutcherson. Wednesday, 6/9, 2:00-3:30 PM. Register here.
- Gospel Blues to Modern Gospel (1930s–1970s). This conversation with Juilliard Professor and Ethnomusicologist Fredara Hadley will dig into the early history of Gospel music, focusing on the three decades that followed its emergence in the 1930s. - Maya Lin. Tune in for a livestream event from The Forum with renowned artist and designer Maya Lin. An environmental activist who creates science-based artwork, Lin will present new and major works, followed by a conversation with Andrew Revkin of The Earth Institute. Thursday, 6/10, 12:00-1:30 PM. - The Deluge: On the human costs of rising sea levels. The Forum and the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism present an exhibit by photojournalist and Global Visiting Fellow, Kadir van Lohuizen / NOOR, featuring photographs illustrating the consequences of climate change in communities across the globe.
