Looking for an outdoor adventure before summer ends? Join University Life and Manhattan Kayak for a watery excursion on the Hudson River!
Together, we’ll head down to the Pier 84 Boathouse for a quick ice-breaker and team-building activity before heading out onto the river. Instructors from Manhattan Kayak will help facilitate safety and best practices before a 35-minute window of free paddling.
Details to keep in mind:
- What Should I Wear? Sunscreen and comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting wet and/or dirty.
- What’s Included? Light snacks will be provided.
- Anything else I should know? This event involves physical activity and requires a signed waiver. Additionally, while small lockers are available to store personal items, we do not recommend bringing large bags.
This event is part of Welcome Week, which is a series of free events designed to welcome all new and returning students to campus.
The Wind Down Weekdays series invites students to take a break from the classroom through fun, shared experiences that encourage relaxation, connection, and community.
*Students should plan to meet staff at Kent Hall (Room 201) on the Morningside Campus. We will travel downtown together via the MTA subway. Please note we are unable to cover transportation fares.
