Join University Life for Open Write Night, a welcoming space where you’re invited to practice public speaking by sharing the words that mean the most to you. Whether you write short stories, poetry, personal anecdotes, or any other reflective piece, this is your chance to engage in a supportive environment to speak, listen, and connect with others.

You’ll have up to five minutes to share your work, along with a brief introduction of yourself. If sharing personal writing feels intimidating, be encouraged to share an excerpt from a novel, lyrics, or a poem you love. There is no pressure to perform, only to participate in authentic expression, conversation, and reflection.

After the readings, take some time to enjoy snacks, mingle with new friends, and connect with others who enjoy storytelling and creative expression. Students from all academic backgrounds are welcome!

The event is part of Welcome Week, which is a series of events that are free and open to all students.

Registration needed, CUID required.
