Navigating Networking and Salary Negotiation from a Diversity Lens

March 21, 2024
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
America/New_York
Online Event

Active networking is vital to career growth and could be the key to taking your career to the next level. Networking allows you to form long-lasting relationships, build confidence, access new information, and get career advice and support from mentors.

Additionally, salary negotiation is a crucial consideration for your professional life. Studies show that less than 10% of women negotiate their salary while almost 60% of men do. Understanding how to negotiate your starting salary and benefits are critical factors in deciding which job to take and for job satisfaction.

In honor of Women’s History Month, join University Life in partnership with the office of Career Services at the Mailman School of Public Health in a workshop discussing networking and salary negotiation. The workshop will give strategies and tips for navigating these difficult discussions from a diversity lens. To attend REGISTER HERE.

This workshop will be facilitated by :

Masako Hashimoto - Assistant Director Office of Career Services

Henryne Tobias EdM - Director, Career Services
