Grads Give Back: Lions for Little Lions

October 21, 2026
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
America/New_York
Butler Library, 535 W. 114 St., New York, NY 10027 203

Get creative, connect with fellow graduate students, and make a little joy for a child in our community. Join Grads Give Back: Lions for Little Lions, from the Graduate Initiative!

Build your own Roaree-inspired lion and bring comfort to children in our community by donating your stuffed animal to New Alternatives for Children, a non-profit dedicated to providing care for the most vulnerable children in New York City.

Come unwind, meet new people, and create something with a purpose. Your handmade “little lion” will be donated to a child who could use a little extra warmth and encouragement.

Note: All lions are for donation.

Registration is required, but walk-ins will be admitted as space allows. CUID holders only.

The Graduate Initiative for Inclusion and Engagement supports graduate and professional students through programs designed to reflect a wide range of lived experiences and perspectives. Designed with the needs of students who may have overcome barriers to higher education in mind, the initiative creates spaces for connection, learning, and growth. All students are welcome.
