Grad Hangout: Brushes & Botanicals

Celebrate Earth Day with creativity and connection with the Graduate Initiative, at Brushes & Botanicals, a hands-on art and plant-care workshop designed to help you recharge.

In honor of Earth Day on April 22, you’re invited to paint your own mini succulent pots, learn beginner-friendly plant care tips, and pot a succulent to take home. 

What you can look forward to: 

  • A brief demonstration from a guest plant guide introducing different plant types
  • Painting your own mini plant pot and potting a succulent to take home
  • Practical tips and tricks for caring and maintaining your new plant 
  • Insights into how plant care can support mindfulness and everyday well-being
  • Opportunities to meet new friends and bond a shared love of greenery 

Leave with a new plant to brighten your space and a renewed sense of creativity in celebration of our planet. 

Registration is required, but walk-ins will be admitted as space allows. CUID holders only.

The Graduate Initiative for Inclusion and Engagement supports graduate and professional students through programs designed to reflect a wide range of lived experiences and perspectives.
