April 20, 2022
3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
America/New_York
Low Library, 535 W. 116 St., New York, NY 10027 Faculty Room, room 207

While the past decades have ushered in some of the greatest technological advances in human history, the pandemic has sharpened our focus on the way in which our lives increasingly take place in two dimensions: ‘in real life’ and online. This panel of experts will tackle some of the most challenging questions around digital citizenship, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), the rise of social media, and the ways in which our choices online impact the world around us. How can we harness our ‘digital lives’ to meaningfully build stronger and more equitable relationships and communities--online and off?

Panelists include:

  • Keach Hagey is an investigative reporter at the Wall Street Journal
  • Jamal Greene Dwight Professor, Columbia Law School
  • Sandra Matz, David W. Zalaznick Associate Professor of Business
  • Malkia Devich-Cyril Senior Fellow and Founding Director, Media Justice
  • Francesco Tena, a 2021-2022 Obama Foundation Scholar at Columbia University through Columbia World Projects where the program is housed

RSVP is required, please bring your CUID. Free and open to all Columbia students.
