Updated Columbia Community Health Compact, and Submit Vaccination Documentation for a Chance to Win $500!

June 24, 2021

Dear Students,

I’m writing to share important updates and action items for you related to the Columbia Community Health Compact. The Compact is our community’s commitment to recognize our shared responsibility for community health, informed by science and founded on mutual respect.

What you need to do:

  • Read the revised Compact. Key updates include the COVID-19 vaccination requirement (or approved exemption) and respect for those who choose to wear face coverings when not required.
  • Soon, you’ll be asked to digitally sign the Compact before 9/1, even if you already signed the previous version.

Getting Vaccinated, and a Chance to Win $500!
The University has mandated the COVID-19 vaccine for all students, and requires:

  • All domestic students who do not have an approved medical or religious exemption to be fully vaccinated by August 2
  • All international students who aren’t able to be vaccinated at home to get vaccinated upon arrival on campus

Learn more about how to get vaccinated and how to submit your documentation. If you have already submitted your vaccine information or completed an application for an exemption, or if you do so by Sunday, 6/27, you will be entered in a random drawing for three cash prizes of $500 each (taxable) or two Columbia-themed swag bags valued at over $200 each! Winners will be notified next week.
