University Life Opportunities (All deadlines are ET)

• Now Hiring: University Life Office Assistant. Want to have a positive impact at Columbia? We are looking for motivated and creative students to support the Student Life Engagement team in event planning, marketing and more! This position is through Columbia’s work-study program, so eligible candidates must have received a work-study award. Learn more and apply by Sunday, 8/15 at 11:59 PM.
• Low-Lapalooza: Silent Disco Student DJ Signup Form. Calling all DJs! The University Life Events Council is looking for DJs for this year’s Low-Lapalooza. Students selected to DJ will receive a $50 gift card, plus additional gifts. If you’re interested, apply here by Sunday, 8/22 at 11:59 PM.
• Justice Through the Arts: Creatives Submission Form. Does your art explore the purpose, history and issues of social justice? We invite you to submit your work for consideration; if selected, it will be featured at our Fall welcome event. Please submit your art here by Wednesday, 9/1. Questions? • Apply for the Tamer Fund for Social Ventures. The Tamer Fund for Social Ventures provides grants of up to $25,000 for social and environmental ventures. The application deadline to be considered for Fall funding is Sunday, 8/15 at 11:59 PM. Learn more and submit your application here.

Voices for Change is a Columbia News series designed to open a conversation about the necessary work that the University must engage in to create a truly inclusive, anti-racist culture and community for all.
