Ensuring your compliance with the Columbia Community Health Compact

September 10, 2021

Dear Students,

With the Fall semester in full swing, there are rapidly approaching deadlines that you must meet to continue accessing campus.

Masking Requirements

Everyone is required to wear a mask any time they are indoors. Vaccinated students may remove their masks when outdoors. Unvaccinated students must wear face coverings at all times. These measures help keep our community healthy as we welcome everyone back.

Please note that faculty are allowed to remove their masks while teaching, if they maintain six feet of distance.

Upcoming Deadlines and Action Steps

September 13th is the deadline to complete the following items:

Keeping the Compact On and Off Campus

As a reminder, you are expected to uphold the Community Health Compact and related policies on and off campus, including the events policy. This is to keep you, our community and our neighbors safe. You can learn more about student accountability on the COVID-19 website

Guidelines for Eating and Dining

Eating together is an important part of how we all socialize, and we want to ensure you can do so  safely. You can read more about the University’s current eating and dining guidelines here.

Join the Keeping Our Community Healthy Ambassadors

Want to do your part to help Keep Our Community Healthy? Consider becoming an Ambassador! As we navigate the pandemic together, Ambassadors work with students to keep our community and surrounding neighbors safe and healthy. If you are interested, please sign up here. We will share training dates that will inform participants about the pandemic, the role of the Ambassadors, and also answer questions.

Take care,
