Ziyarah is a visitation meant to honor someone. On Feb 21, the 55th anniversary of the assassination of Malcolm Shabazz, there will be a Ziyarah to visit him and his wife Dr. Betty Shabazz at their resting place. This event pays tribute to our spiritual forefathers who fought for every American to live with dignity. Malcolm and Dr. Betty Shabazz left an enduring legacy for both the Black and Muslim communities.

This event will highlight their contributions. Join Ustadha Amina Darwish, Sheikha Ieasha Prime, and Imam Suhaib Webb to honor our spiritual leaders. Please sign up to register for the bus departing at 9 AM on February 21, 2020 to Ferncliff Cemetery (280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale, NY 10530). The bus will be returning to Columbia's campus at 12:30 pm. This is a joint event between Columbia Muslim Life, MANSA (Muslim African Niyyah Student Association), Columbia MSA (Muslim Student Association) and the Islamic Center at NYU.
