Water in Our Changing Global Systems

March 27, 2026
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
America/New_York
Northwest Corner Building, 550 W. 120 St., New York, NY 10027 602

Water unites all living things. Our daily interactions with water, though impossible to live without, often pass by largely unnoticed. Water is a valued commodity in agriculture and industry, so how do we reconcile economics with the idea that clean drinking water is a human right? Join us to explore how we think about clean, fresh water as a universal need in the context of our changing global systems.

This program is part of University Life's Campus Conversations program which is a designed to bring students together across differences through dialogue led by their peers. These conversations are selected and facilitated by graduate students across Columbia's graduate and professional schools. All students are welcome to attend.
