Let’s do the Time Warp again!
Join University Life’s Legacy of New York series for a night of camp, theatre, and conversation as we visit Studio 54 Theatre to attend Roundabout Theatre Company’s production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
The evening begins on campus with a shared pre-show meal, where you’ll get to meet new friends and explore the history of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. For over 50 years, this iconic musical has held a lasting place in performance history, shaping LGBTQIA+ expression, audience participation traditions, and alternative art.
Don’t miss this chance to connect with others and experience a true classic!
What to know before attending:
- The Rocky Horror Picture Show includes mature, R-rated themes and content. Students are encouraged to consider this when deciding whether to participate.
- In order to attend, plan to meet staff at Kent 201 on the Morningside Campus. We will distribute tickets only on campus, NOT at the venue.
- Keep an eye on your inbox, as you will be required to confirm attendance by responding to a reservation email 24 hours in advance.
- Dietary restrictions, including gluten-free and vegetarian options, will be available for dinner.
- We will travel downtown together via the MTA subway. Please note we are unable to cover transportation fares.
Registration is required, CUID holders only.
The Legacy of New York series invites students to explore the social movements, histories, and communities that have shaped New York City. Through museum visits, walking tours, and site-based learning experiences, this series seeks to highlight and celebrate the diversity of communities, cultures, and events.
