This session will explore the tenets of Narrative Medicine, fostering social connection and reflection in the wake of the difficult or traumatic experiences that go along with interpersonal and intimate partner violence.
This session will be led by Narrative Medicine facilitator Kristen Slesar, LCSW, and is open to all Columbia community members. Together, we will explore art and personal writing, with the option to share with others (never required).
No creative expertise is necessary—just bring your openness and curiosity!
Students attending this workshop will receive credit for the Community Citizenship Initiative and will have their requirement considered complete.

About Peace & Presence
Peace and Presence is a Columbia Health SVR mindfulness series of diverse holistic wellness workshops for students. These sessions will explore non-verbal and experiential healing techniques and self-calming tools, and guide participants in incorporating mindfulness into one's daily life.
