Join Alice! Health Promotion for a virtual Well-being Workshop. Register here to attend!
This workshop aims to provide a general overview of nutrition by breaking down current evidence-based recommendations and addressing topics that are most important to college students, such as emotional eating and eating on a budget. Participants will be invited to explore their mindsets around food and nutrition and to challenge any social norms that may not align with their personal values. On and off-campus resources for food security will also be discussed.
Key Learning Objectives:
- Discuss the importance of nutrition and identify key factors of your own personal vision for nutrition
- Describe the concept of dietary patterns
- Read and understand nutrition labels
- Identify strategies and resources for eating nutritious and affordable foods that align with your personal preferences
Session open to all Columbia University students, regardless of school affiliation.
