"New Life, New Beginnings" Spring Blood Drive

April 8, 2021
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
America/New_York
Bard Hall, 50 Haven Ave., New York, NY 10032 Lounge

The Columbia community is invited to help save lives during our annual “New Life, New Beginnings” spring blood drive campaign across our campuses.  Donating blood is essential to community health, and the need for blood products is constant.  With the ongoing pandemic, we are especially committed to helping others in meaningful ways, by helping to ensure a steady supply of blood and blood products to meet the needs of patient care.  Our community partner, the New York Blood Center, has announced a blood emergency one year into the coronavirus pandemic, as the region’s blood supply is dangerously low.  More than ever, blood donors from Columbia are desperately needed to give hope and strength to patients in need of lifesaving blood.

One single pint can save THREE lives!

The Blood Drives are open to Faculty, Staff and Students (CUID) only and, due to the current public health crisis and social distancing rules, donors must make an appointment to schedule a donation at nybc.org/cu  or call NYBC at (800) 933-2566. (Walk-ins only if room capacity and appointment scheduling permits.).

The Staff at the NYBC has been trained to manage the donations of blood safely during the pandemic, in compliance with CDC, NYS, NYC and Columbia Coronavirus protocols.  Only Columbians with the COVID-19 Symptom Attestation Green Pass will be admitted to donate.
