Navigating Interpersonal Relationships and Hyperindividualism

April 20, 2026
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
America/New_York
Hammer Health Sciences Center, 701 W. 168 St., New York, NY 10032 in Room LL106

In 2023, the U.S. Surgeon General declared loneliness to be an epidemic. But in an age of hyperindividualism and therapy speak, how do we go about building and sustaining meaningful interpersonal relationships? Join us to talk about your personal experiences or challenges with interpersonal relationships in the context of an individualistic culture.

This program is part of University Life's Campus Conversations program which is a designed to bring students together across differences through dialogue led by their peers. These conversations are selected and facilitated by graduate students across Columbia's graduate and professional schools. All students are welcome to attend.

Registration is required, but walk-ins will be admitted as space allows. CUID holders only.
