As part of the Community Citizenship Initiative, join us for an interactive workshop on navigating difficult conversations and turning disagreements into opportunities for mutual understanding and constructive problem-solving. Grounded in Difficult Conversations: How to Discuss What Matters Most by Douglas Stone, Bruce Patton, and Sheila Heen of the Harvard Negotiation Project, this session explores how to move beyond blame to have meaningful conversations and work toward shared solutions.
Through practical exercises and small-group discussions, participants will practice active listening and learn how to reframe challenging statements. The workshop will also explore ways to navigate disagreements with project teammates, roommates, colleagues, and others while building empathy and maintaining positive relationships.
Registration is required, but walk-ins will be admitted as space allows. CUID holders only.
