Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration

September 21, 2026
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
America/New_York
Butler Library, 535 W. 114 St., New York, NY 10027 203

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the most widely observed traditions across East/Southeast Asia and Asian diasporic communities around the world. With a rich history going back thousands of years, the Mid-Autumn Festival honors the full moon, yearly harvest, and the importance of family, friends, and community.

Whether you've never taken part in the tradition before or have observed it throughout your life, join fellow Columbia students to enjoy mooncakes and dumplings*, paint a lantern, and celebrate with new and old friends.

*Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options will be available.

Registration is encouraged, but walk-ins will be admitted as space allows. Please bring your CUID.
