Introduction to Anti-Racism

In this workshop participants will gain understanding as to the differences between individual bias and systemic racism, which is embedded in our society. Open to all CUID holders. RSVP is required, please register here.

 

Learning objectives include:

  • Defining and understanding terms such as prejudice, racism, intersectionality and anti-racism 
  • Understanding frameworks that explain systemic racism and stratification.
  • Review of the current racial context in the U.S.
  • Gaining tools to further learning on systemic racism and anti-racist practice, creating action plans, and joining communities of support.
