International Students Workshop: Virtual Support Space for Those Far

September 17, 2021
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
America/New_York
Online

Are you an international student new to Columbia University and America? It takes time and effort to feel at home and get the most out of life at Columbia. We offer two workshops designed to address your experience at Columbia.

We will discuss:

*Academics - How to maximize your experience in class and with professors. How and when to get to know professors, expectations, participating in class, collaborating with other students, asking for help and more.

*Social Life - How to balance new friends and romantic relationships. How to navigate forming new relationships when living in a language and a culture that are not your own. Getting comfortable. Learning social norms. Managing expectations. Feeling lonely.

This workshop is free and open to all students. It will be recorded, captioned, and uploaded to the University Life's Youtube a few weeks after.

RSVP is required, please register here. After you complete your registration, you'll receive a confirmation email containing the Zoom link, a password and instructions for joining the event.
