University Life, in partnership with Columbia’s Earl Hall Center for Religious Life, will host a discussion with Columbia community members across faith traditions on Wednesday, December 8 at 4:00 p.m. Panelists will share their experiences navigating religious identities in higher education, how we can better foster religious diversity on campus and the value of interfaith friendship. We aim to provide a space for the Columbia community to learn and engage in a meaningful dialogue about religion and spirituality with an opportunity for interfaith connections. Open to all CUID holders. RSVP is required, please register here

The panel will feature:

  • Andrea White, Associate Professor of Theology and Culture, Union Theological Seminary
  • Clemence Boulouque, Associate Professor of Jewish and Israel Studies, Department of Religion
  • Ebad Rahman, Muslim Life Coordinator, Center for Religious Life
  • Dhrumil Mehta, Associate Professor in Data Journalism, School of Journalism

This discussion will be moderated by Rev. Dr. Ian Rottenberg, Dean of Religious Life and Director of the Earl Hall Center. The Faculty Roundtable Series is an opportunity for students and faculty to have meaningful conversations through roundtable discussions on critical student life issues affecting marginalized communities. Although this series was developed with first-generation graduate students in mind, all are welcome to join!
