In this second event in the Undergraduate Committee on Global Thought’s exploration of the Politics of Memory, Professor Carol Gluck will lead a discussion on the factors that shape public memory of the comfort women in Japan and across the region. She will also explore the effects of contested memory on victims of mass violence as well as “global memory culture” at large.
