America/New_York
Jerome Greene Hall, 435 W. 116 St., New York, NY 10027 107
Which verses in the Quran talk about sex? What does the Sunnah say about consent? What are the rights of both partners within a marriage? How liberal or conservative were the cultures in Mecca and Madinah at the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him)? How are today's American Muslim Community views affected by culture, politics, or colonialism? What Fiqh should every Muslim adult know? How can we as Muslims create safe spaces for these difficult but essential conversations in our own communities? Come join the discussion with Khalid Latif and Amina Darwish. Attending this workshop/event fulfills the Sexual Respect and Community Citizenship Initiative requirement.
