University Life, in collaboration with Columbia World Projects, is proud to host the 2025 Obama Foundation Scholars at Columbia University for this signature event exploring how these incredible scholars have used leadership, innovation, and collaboration to drive meaningful impact worldwide. With introductions from Melanie J. Bernitz, Executive Vice President for University Life and Wellbeing, and moderated by Loftin Flowers, Vice President for Government and Community Affairs, this conversation offers students a glimpse into how emerging leaders are shaping a more equitable and hopeful future. A Q&A will follow. Lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
What is the Obama Scholars Program?
Each year, the Obama Foundation Scholars at Columbia University collaborate with researchers, faculty, and community partners to create practical solutions for real-world challenges. Through their immersive on-campus experience, Scholars engage in experiential learning, including seminars, audited coursework, professional development workshops, faculty partnerships, networking, and more.
