Join the Holder Initiative for a conversation between Maboula Soumahoro, author of Black is the Journey, Africana the Name and Lilian Thuram, star of the French national soccer team, activist, and author most recently of White Thinking: How Racial Bias Is Constructed and How to Move Beyond It. They will discuss race in contemporary France and Europe, the history and culture of the African diaspora, and the role of sport in cultural and political life. The conversation will be moderated by Kaiama L. Glover (Ann Whitney Olin Professor of French and Africana Studies, Barnard College).
