Antimonopoly and American Democracy is a new history that traces antimonopoly ideas, organizing, and policy from the American founding era to the 1970's.
At this webinar, hosted by the Columbia Center for Political Economy and The Tobin Project, Bill Novak (University of Michigan Law School), an editor and contributor to the book, will join fellow contributors Richard John (Columbia Journalism School), Kate Andrias (Columbia Law School), and Tim Wu (Columbia Law School), to discuss how antimonopoly has figured importantly in the history of American democracy, and what lessons this history may hold for the challenges of market power, economic concentration, and democracy that we confront today. Center Co-Director Suresh Naidu (Columbia University) will moderate the discussion.
