Diana Dumitru (she/her)

Diana Dumitru is the Director of Strategic Initiatives in Student Affairs for University Life. She has over 19 years of experience in higher education and project management, with expertise in student and faculty affairs, financial management, program and event coordination, and strategic initiatives. She has spent the past decade at Columbia University in the Provost’s Office and at CUIMC, following earlier roles at Pace University in student affairs and in the private sector as a project manager. At Columbia, Diana has supported programs for students from high school through the postdoctoral level, managed faculty initiatives, and coordinated mentoring, professional development, and recognition programs that strengthen faculty and student success.

Beyond her professional work, Diana has been active in her Sunnyside, Queens community as a PTA co-president, chair for Participatory Budgeting, education committee, and volunteer with local nonprofits. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Letters and Arts from Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu, Romania and a master’s in Public Administration from Pace University, where she graduated with honors. In her free time, she enjoys family time, long walks on the beach, being in nature, and practicing yoga.
