University Life Events Council Leadership Team 2020-2021
The University Life Events Council Leadership team works with our office to produce engaging events. They form the core group of student event planners who also work with representatives from every Columbia school.

Juliana is a first-year student at Columbia College, studying financial economics. Her hometown is Chicago, Illinois. She aims to foster a close-knit community by successfully marketing campus events. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the Big Apple with friends, scoping out skyline views and hitting up the best brunch spots.
Drew was born in Baltimore and raised in Rockville, Maryland. He has always had a passion for giving back to his community, and after high school served four years in the Marine Corps, where he quickly developed a desire to pursue an education. His favorite hobbies include piano, guitar, and basketball.
Emily is a political science student at Columbia College. On campus, she's been involved as the co-chair of Public Relations for the Sigma Delta Tau sorority, a volunteer for Columbia Youth Adventurers and a member of the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee. To prepare herself for a career in public relations and policy, Emily has worked for a number of organizations, including United Way, Small Girls PR, and JUV Consulting.
Miah is from a small town in Ohio and is now a sophomore studying financial economics at Columbia College.
Michelle is a third-year student at Columbia College, studying biology with a Hispanic Studies concentration on the pre-medical track. Her hometown is Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. She loves knitting, baking, hiking, learning new languages and serving her community. She is currently looking for the best pastry shops around campus and in NYC!
Souvik is a graduate student at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, pursuing a Master's in Public Administration. Before enrolling, Souvik interned at the United Nations, the World Wildlife Fund, worked for a New York State Senate campaign and interned for environmental nonprofit CDP, as well as for U.S Sen. Charles Schumer. He also obtained a master’s . from Columbia University's Climate and Society program in 2017. Souvik enjoys the outdoors, playing basketball, watching movies and TV and reading.
Grace is a third-year student at Columbia College, studying History and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She is originally from Oregon City, Oregon. Grace is passionate about political and community engagement; outside of ULEC, she is involved on campus as a first-year Resident Adviser and a board member of the CU Democrats. In her free time, she can be found on Butler Lawn, doing embroidery and sharing music with friends.
Sean has a deep passion for revolutionizing what content the world consumes and is a creative developer for the live and digital arts. With story analysis and production experience at Creative Artists Agency, ICM Partners, Fox, Univision and William Morris Endeavor, he is deeply committed to the incubation of underrepresented talent. Sean is currently a Broadway League Diversity Fellow and the Creative Development Coordinator for Theatre at Prodigal Entertainment. He leaves a special shoutout to his fellow Dos Toros fans. Radical empathy, diversity and inclusivity always.
Carlos is an international student from Mexico. He's majoring in financial economics and will be graduating in 2021. He has lived in Mexico, Montreal and Los Angeles. During his time at Columbia, Carlos has been involved as one of the GS resident advisors, as an Orientation Leader, and as a member of the events council at University Life. His hobbies include watching films, hiking, traveling and exploring the city.
Jaimee serves as the Chair of Inclusion for the University Life Events Council. Since being home, she has rediscovered her love for all things art and is actively working on her own secret art project. Jaimee also enjoys reviewing films and television shows and watching Disney Singalongs.
Jake grew up on a dairy farm outside of Berlin, Wisconsin. He got his undergrad degree from Columbia University in biology and was also a part of the cross country and track and field teams. Jacob enjoys nothing more than exploring NYC, petting every dog that he is allowed to, and eating every dessert in sight.
Charlene is a graduate student at GSAS and is studying statistics. She graduated from University of Rochester with a bachelor’s in data science and hails from Pretoria, South Africa. Charlene enjoys traveling to other countries and learning about diverse cultures. She's also fluent in four languages: English, Afrikaans, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Eavan is a first-year Ph.D. student in biological sciences, and she’s excited about being the Chair of Service. Eavan is passionate about serving and advocating for the Columbia community. In her free time, Eavan enjoys getting children interested in STEM opportunities, baking and taking Zumba classes.
Anthony is a third-year student at Columbia College studying computer science. He's from San Diego, California. He enjoys food, photography and travel. Some of Anthony's favorite things to do outside of classes include going on hikes and exploring NYC with his friends.
Caitlin is a graduate student at Columbia School of Social Work. She is thrilled to be back at Columbia, where she went to college! In her free time, Caitlin enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking, playing tennis, playing piano and volunteering. You can usually find Caitlin at her favorite spot on campus, Nous Espresso Bar, at the Graduate Student Center in the Philosophy Building.

The School Liaisons work with the Chair of Outreach and attend the first general membership meeting of each month. During this meeting they gather information to promote upcoming events at their schools and provide feedback on programs and initiatives.
